Such focus as he learns to write the words.
"Brave spelling" they call it.
I love that the word brave is involved.
It makes me feel like he's a little superhero, boldly embarking upon the glory of words.
And here's what he wrote:
Translation for those of you who can't quite make it out: "When I grow up I am going to be a rabbi. I will tutor with kids. I will work at Am Shalom."
It's a pretty neat feeling when your kids want to follow your footsteps. He's only 6, so who knows!
See more focus here...(and congrats, Stacy, on your new home...even though it wasn't exactly how you planned to get there!)

Yay! Woohoo for the both of you!
I love your interpretation of focus - great shot! That is too sweet that he wants to follow in his momma's footsteps. :)
Thanks for the link to Jen's post on focus, too. Great coincedence!
i wish my older one's spelling were as good as his! i bet he loved seeing his writing captured on film!
Yeah! Fantastic picture!!!
I love his penmenship, too!
You must be doing a few things right.
So cute! I love the way kids think words are spelled! :-)
He is so precious. That's definitely a page to keep. Well, at least the picture of it!
I love the process of kids learning to read and write. My little guy just started second grade this year. Last year was such fun to watch as he started writing more enthusiastically !
Great photo too, by the way !
What a great shot for focus! And how wonderful that he wants to follow in your footsteps!
Mmmmm...I know how wonderful it feels...
Of course, when home sick on Tuesday with PC, Beernut pleaded with me to stay with him because -- AND I QUOTE -- "Daddy has such an important job. And anyway, it's not Shabbos!"
Training to be a Board Member, I suppose!!
LOL
And I love how they call it brave too :)
Excellent! What wonderful inspiration...
That's wonderful! Great handwriting for a 6 year old too. :)
Amazing! I am so proud of you and your family - you must make the "rabbinic family" work so well. I will have to talk to you about that one of these days. What a beautiful moment to catch on film :)
Oh the focus...the effort...what joy to get it right! You must be proud for so many reasons. As a teacher, this shot makes my heart sing!
What a great letter!! So nice that he wants to follow his mommy's footsteps. Who knows? :)
Who knows indeed - he's showing lots of concentration, great photo
