Toothless Wonders!

It's hard to believe that my baby my oldest child who was just born who is already 6 years old, who entered kindergarten this year...is now one tooth short.

Yep, that's right. A lost tooth is just the beginning.

Next it's a driver's license.

Okay, maybe not.

But it does mean the Tooth Fairy and who knows what's next!?

{{{Deep breaths}}}

Each moment brings its own blessings. A little sad, perhaps, that he isn't the little boy that he was. But joyous in knowing that he is on the miraculous journey of life into becoming the menschy, kind, wonderful person that I already see growing before my eyes.

Shehecheyanu, v'kiyimanu, v'higiyanu lazman hazeh...thank You, God, for bringing us to this toothy milestone.

May his mouth be filled with song and his lips speak words of wisdom...

  4. What a cutie! Great picture! My little kindergartner just lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago!

    Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing your book recommendations for boys! (And I'm sorry I provided the wrong link. Thanks for taking the time to find the right page!) I will definitely check out the Magic Tree House books. They sound perfect!

    And thanks for reminding me about audio books. We've done them before and he listens so much better. We also do a lot of storytelling CD's. Maynard Moose/Willy Claflin is hysterical!

  11. They get SO excited about that first tooth. I thought BubTar's head would explode from it all. And then he cried in the morning when he realized the tooth fairy took it. Luckily, Santa put in a few phone calls and retrieved it for Christmas. ;)

  14. yayayayayayay -- what a big boy. And such a shehechiyanu moment for him and for you as well.

    It's weird having one kid losing teeth while another kid is just getting them.

  15. May he always speak words of wisdom... AWESOME mother prayer for her child.

    Since my child pulled her friends' hair today, perhaps my prayer should be "And let her hands always exhibit charity!"

    I love snaggle tooth mouths, but HATE pulling teeth!!
