But life does seem to be moving on quickly, and now that we're home, we're busily catching up and revisiting all the things that we left behind for two weeks! When I left, these cute tomatoes were not even in existence! And now...look at them...
It's pretty amazing that this little garden is growing without much assistance from me. We've been watering it (okay, my mother-in-law and God watered while we were gone) and I staked the plants, but I wouldn't say that I've done much else. Maybe it's time to mulch? But I do think that leaving it alone works for me. Or maybe I'm just lucky!? Who knows....
I'm already planning next year's garden. Maybe we should eat some tomatoes first.
Your veggies look loved. They knew you were coming back from camp and couldn't wait to show off their pretty selves.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about gardening, but these look GREAT!
ReplyDeleteThe peppers look delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a green thumb. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteI love your container garden! We, too, have been gardening in containers this summer, but have yet to harvest our first tomato.
ReplyDeleteMay your harvest be bountiful, delicious, and long!
I'm planning a Square Foot Garden for mext spring...actually I'm going to cheat and plant a few fall cropos since we live in Florida.
ReplyDeleteYour peppers look fantastic!!
Makes me want to do a garden!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking crop you have there. I think I will plant one next year too.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great!! Planning ahead is a great idea!! You can actually add a few summer items in there very soon while other plants are still growing! Your peppers are a great size!! I wouldn't be surprised if it turns red on you in the next few days!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your garden!!
I always respect anyone who can grow vegetables. I'm not a green thumb. I'm more like a sore thumb.

if it helps - all of my color changing peppers change color on the vine - i've had habaneros, serranos, and carmens and they all go read on the vine - but you want to be careful - as they start to get close to being OVER ripe then - you can also ripen them off the vine, and for that matter - eat them green. :) I also - don't do anything but occasionally water, no mulching - though i do pull the occasional big weed.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
(p.s. if you like peppers and grow them a lot - especially like chiles for seasonings - a dehydrator is a GREAT investment... :) )
oooh, your garden is growing. ours is too. it's ... it's ... like a miracle!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, They do turn red on the vine. Your tomatoes look lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow funny that you asked if the red (but currently green) pepper would turn red on the vine...I have some and was wondering the same thing. And a mockingbird is pecking holes in my tomatoes to get seeds and feed her babies.
ReplyDeleteI understand the busyness, you know we'll keep checking back for you. :) And thank you for commenting on my Tues 5MFSN post.
