What's going on here today?
Founded by Soccer Dad, Haveil Havalim is a carnival of Jewish blogs -- a weekly collection of Jewish & Israeli blog highlights, tidbits and points of interest collected from blogs all around the world. It's hosted by different bloggers each week and coordinated by Jack. The term 'Haveil Havalim,' which means "Vanity of Vanities," is from Qoheleth, (Ecclesiastes) which was written by King Solomon. King Solomon built the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and later on got all bogged down in materialism and other 'excesses' and realized that it was nothing but 'hevel,' or in English, 'vanity.'

Thanks so much for a great Havel Havelim!
thank you again for all of your help.
Thanks, Ima on-and-off the bima! I'm glad mine wasn't the only post about the "it gets better" project and the sad news of GLBT kids in dire straits.
Nice job, and thanks for including my post!
Shavua tov and chodesh tov!

Haveil Havalim #286 Is Up!
Thanks for hosting and including my post. Very much appreciated!
Thanks for leading with the hard stuff, and for being a leader with the GLBT Safe Zone badge. (And, of course, for including me!)
Thanks for including my posts!
Thanks for including my post. I know that from an idealogical point of view it probably bothers you to include my posts which to you probably ring of intolerance and fanaticism. I respect the fact that you allow views that diverge radically from your own to have a place on your blog when you host the carnival. Have a good day.
