Latkes with sour cream are a meal by themselves! Plus, parve chocolate is not that great. Chanukah dinner is best as a dairy affair: sufganyiot and milk, latkes and sour cream, dairy gelt and hot cocoa. Yum!
Not mutually exclusive!!! Unless brisket is on the table. Then, of course, no sour cream.
Definitely apple sauce. No question. (It feels healthier...?)
