Me too. Mine leaves in late July, so I remain in denial for another few weeks. I am driving her three hours up there, at least as much for me as for her.
My 10 year old daughter leaves for the first time for overnight camp in one week. I just mailed a letter to her so she would receive it on the first day. She is so excited to be going away. I will be interested to see whether the experience meets her expectations. We recently were assigned a date for her Bat Mitzvah. If that didn't already make me feel like we are moving into a different phase of her life, packing her for camp certainly does. It makes me feel that we have passed the halfway mark of her childhood and we must use our remaining time well.
