No big deal, a lot of people call them quarters instead of periods -- even though there are only 3! You could ask your son how many teams are in the Big Ten. Answer: 11 going on 12!
Too cute. I'm not super into sports either and sometimes can't come up with the right words....I also like to call it a "tie" when I push in blackjack :)
