What happened? We were so excited to end Passover on a spring-like note. Friday was a gloriously warm day, so wonderful that we spent a bit of time at the Botanic Gardens.
Good thing we did because then it all seemed to go downhill!
Saturday and Sunday were cold and blustery...we still managed to get outside a bit, but nothing like the glory of Friday.
Here are some of my favorites, I couldn't pick!
Yael with Auntie Liz
The Girl, discovering the bushes at the Gardens...this was before she tried to eat them, of course.
Sam loves water, and here he is heading off to his favorite fountains. Even after a winter away, he still remembers what he likes!
For a kid who loves water, the Chicago Botanic Gardens are a great place to be!
Look, Mom, more water!
It's very hard to keep him out of the water and still take pictures. After this shot, he basically tried to dive right in! But I love the splash effect here.
I tried to take some pictures of him visiting with the ducks, but I was so afraid that he would go for a swim in the lake that I had to keep one hand holding tightly to the back of his shirt as he reached for a gorgeous pair of mallard ducks that were swimming right by us. He did enjoy meeting those ducks! I think sometimes he wishes he were a duck...he does like water.
What did you do to celebrate the end of Passover over this weekend?
See more great pictures here...

When my sister was very little she was so excited to be feeding the ducks that she completely forgot to let go of the bread as she threw it - landed right in the duck pond. She was fine but it's got a prime place in family lore LOL.
(haha..LOL Robin:-D)
We have a very similar fountain in the Botanic Gardens here in Adelaide!!! I still feel a child like attraction to this kind of fountain. I am right with him! I just wanna dive right in too.
Hope your weather fines up!!
Kids are like magnets to water. Glad to see that you let him explore, though.
Ok, so I do miss that Garden - it is such an amazing one and I love that fountain, too!
Fun photos...
I know! What happened?! I love the tenderness of these photos.
So cute! My son LOVES water too -- in any form....
Such fun pics! I'm with you - where's spring go? We spent the weekend replacing boards on our deck and putting an addition on it. Friday was great.... Saturday was miserable. I was chilled to the bone.
Love these pictures... sorry about the weather. Maybe you should visit us in California. :)
My daughter's name is Yael too!
(Her older sister's name is Tamar.)
Looks like a lot of fun. Harrison is the same way, he gets too close to that duck pond and I envision him going right in head first!
Your cold weekend must have come to us as it is cold and rainy today here. But it looks like the kids had fun! Great Best Shots!
Looks like a good time - outdoor shots are always so much fun. My favorite is him walking off towards the fountain...that grass is so green, it really makes him stand out!
I love the picture of him headed off towards the fountains. Great shots!
We are in the midst of a heat wave, think yourself lucky.
Got to love kids and water!
Funny, I was going to name my post "Spring, please come back!" I live in Chicago, too, and I'm also wondering where spring's gone to. Glad you had fun @ the gardens!
so glad to see you finally have some warmer weather, but i hope you get a taste of spring before summer hits full tilt.
lovely pictures. :)
That sounds just like the weather here!
My girl has quite the attraction to water, too! It's hard to get pictures and keep the kiddo dry at the same time - great job!
happiness today to my friend.
Trust, faith, love and smile
Lead you to happiness.
Hope the weather warms up for you too! I just want spring to stay as well!
